SFI 8:2 FC Tigers
Yesterday, October 7th. Saturday Football International (SFI) had another friendly match at the Shipai pitch.
This time it was SFI - U14 against FC Tigers - U14 from the Taipei American School (TAS).
The match was 2x 20 minutes with a five minute break.
The first half was a close game. SFI took the lead in the 9th. minute with Etienne’s goal. Both teams continued to play attacking football and both managed to have several shots on target.
Five minutes later, in the 14th. minute, Varun scored SFI’s second goal. Less than a minute later, FC Tigers striker Danny, scored the Tigers first goal.
The first half ended with SFI 2:1 FC Tigers.
In the 22nd. minute of the match, SFI’s defending midfielder Rafael had a powerful shot on target which was blocked by the Tigers goal keeper.
The first 4 minutes of the second half both teams still had a chance to win the game. But, after the 24th. minute, the match took an unexpected turn.
Varun’s amazing hat-trick completely changed the game. From this point on SFI dominated the rest of the match. SFI’s center forward, Varun scored a goal in the 24th. minute, then in the 26th. minute and another one in the 28th. minute.
Varun’s 4th. goal was followed by more goals from the other SFI strikers, Aaron and Etienne.
Aaron scored an awesome goal in the 30th. minute. Then, the Tigers had a chance to score following an SFI foul inside the penalty area. FC Tigers were awarded a well-deserved penalty kick by the referee. But, the Tigers missed the penalty. SFI’s goal keeper Dhruv accurately predicted which side of the goal the ball was heading and successfully saved the penalty.
3 minutes after the missed penalty, Etienne scored another goal. Shortly after that, FC Tigers striker Ot scored their second great goal.
In the last second of the game Etienne kicked another goal and managed to get his hat-trick as well.
