Commitment and Balance SFI had a full commitment to win the match against TKU on Wednesday night (October 23rd.) at Bailing. Whilst trying to stick to our footballing principles and play out from the back we made two mistakes and conceded twice early on in the match. After conceding the 2 goals, coming from behind, SFI scored 3 goals and win 3-2 against TKU. And, our third and winning goal came from an excellent move which started with us playing out from the back. SFI Goals: Lee-Wei (1) Wei-Tai (1) Chris (1) It's safe to say that it was a well deserved victory for SFI.

Preparing for the 2020 season SFI adult team began the series of scheduled friendly matches, preparing the squad for the CTFA First or Second division in the next season. After 6 months of conditioning, endurance training, tryouts and training games, we played our first friendly match on Wednesday, October 23rd. at Bailing. The opponent was a strong team. Mighty Shane FC is currently first place in the First Division of the Taipei International Football League (formerly known as OTPL). We want to thank Mighty Shane FC for accepting our invitation for the friendly. About the match The Wednesday game was very competitive. This was a friendly match; but, perhaps a bit more competitive and physical than friendly matches should be. Both teams applied some aggressive tactics. But, both teams stayed mostly within the boundaries of good sportsmanship. We would like to thank the referees for their professionalism. We all appreciated their dedication to control the match. In conclusion, this was a competitive football match between two strong teams. Congratulations to SFI for winning the game. Final score: SFI - Mighty Shane FC 4:2 |
