The Saturday Football website and Facebook page was not updated since 2016.
There was an issue with the login details for the website domain name & Facebook account. This summer, when we took over SF management responsibilities, we set out to fix these problems. But, no one had access to these accounts. The people who created these accounts left Saturday Football and Taiwan years ago. It took us a while, but we found some of them. We want to thank Richard, Karen and Becky, the SF parents who were here in 2015 – 2016. They helped us from different parts of the world. We are now able to access the Facebook account and we sorted out the domain name issues. As you can see, we started updating the website and the Facebook page. We're making some progress. In a couple of weeks, everything will be up to date. The 2018 - 2019 season begun on September 1st, at a new location.
Saturday Football 2.0 After 18 years, Saturday Football moved out of the Taipei European School. We started an independent football club. With almost 200 kids last season, our operation on Saturdays was way too big for TES. This summer the time has come to say goodby to the TES facilities. We became an independent Football Club. What Does Not Change We will preserve the Saturday Football Spirit, as promised. We will continue to develop our teams and take part in tournaments. Parental volunteer coaching with some of the U6, U8, U10 and U12 remains of utmost importance. We will teach our players about the benefits of sports, healthy lifestyle, friendship and team spirit. And, we will introduce our players to the technical, tactical and analytical aspects of football. Club and Academy Besides our regular training, we will launch a football club and a Football Academy for the U13 & U15. We will develop a complete sports plan for the football players of the future. We are happy to report that the transition was smooth and successful. But, of course, a lot of work all summer. |
