SFI took part in the Allianz Junior World Cup U15 games at the TianMu Sports Park. 

Some of our U15 players were not available on May 12th.; thus, we showed up with mostly U14 players.

We don’t have any experience in Futsal (five-a-side) games; we play only 11 v 11 matches on a full size pitch with these age groups.

Thus, we considered these matches as valuable training sessions; offering an excellent opportunity for our U14 players to play against older (U15) players. It was also another great training for our U13 goalkeeper. He did an excellent job.

Our team played exceptionally well against two strong opponents, Lanya Junior High School – U15 and JinHua Junior High School – U15. These two schools are both specialized in football. They had very strong U15 squads at the Allianz Cup. They’re definitely good teams with lots of five-a-side experience.  

Our SFI team ended up winning the match against Lanya Junior High School.

Both goals were scored by our SFI striker, Yanis.

The second match against JinHua Junior High School was another very close match. It was 0:0 until the last couple of minutes of the match. We only had 2 substitutes, so we got a little bit tired toward the end of this tough game.

But, we were still attacking relentlessly, creating several opportunities to score. But, JinHua Junior High School scored the only goal of the match from a quick counter attack in the last few minutes.

Yesterday, May 18th., our SFI - U6 team won the first place trophy in our group at the 10th. Taipei Preschooler Football Games at the Taipei Stadium.

This event was organized by the Taipei City Government for the 10th. year at the Taipei Stadium. Needless to say, we are all very happy that our awesome U6 team had a chance to take part in this great tournament and walk away with the trophy.
