I (Coach Joe) was ready to write my match report about the Victory League match this morning against FC Tigers Red. Then, my son Elod asked me if he could help me write it. Since he played in the match, I thought he could write the first draft. Then, I will rewrite it and post it. He showed me what he wrote. After reading it, I decided to post it unedited. So, here it is, just the way he wrote it: Match Report by Elod (U10 Player) After 6 matches, SFI-U10 Blues still remains unbeaten with all the matches won. And, we are still the first place in the Victory League Championship. SFI-U10 Blues - FC Tigers Red 1:0 Today, we faced FC Tigers Red. They also won all their games before facing us today.
This was a very tough match between two strong teams, and a very emotional match as well. First Half: Both teams had some good chances. But, after a while, we tackled an opponent player inside the box. FC Tigers Red got a penalty. Now, the referee blows the whistle. It was shot decently. Louis, our goalkeeper, moved and got the ball in his hands and successfully saved the penalty! All our supportive parents were very happy and cheering after the great save from Louis. The referee blows the whistle to end the first half. It was a very even first half. Both teams had some good chances. Second Half: We were controlling more of the match in the second half than in the first half. We had so many good chances. We could have scored a bunch of goals, but, we just couldn't finish and score. After a while, we finally broke the ice! Maceo, one of our strikers, received the ball in the box and shot an amazing goal! All our players and parents were extremely happy. Now, we take the lead! Continuing the match with a one goal advantage, we still had a lot of chances. But, the opponent also had a couple of chances. Louis did amazing saves to stop them. The referee blows the final whistle. The final score is 1:0. Here goes another victory for us. Congratulations to our team for winning all matches and being the first place in the league! Our next match will be after Chinese New Year, against Heartbreakers, on February 16th. We wish you a Happy Chinese New Year. We're happy to announce that S.F.I. signed an agreement with the Taipei City Government to adopt the Bailing A. pitch for 2020 and 2021.
